A quiet rebellion from the island of Saaremaa, Estonia.

No, coffee does not grow in Estonia, but the beans we roast in our small roastery are anything but ordinary.

Renegade Beans began in Daga, Papua New Guinea. Every bean from our first shipment has now been roasted and sent to customers, while the next harvest is still stuck in the mountains. Meanwhile, the harvesting season in Madagascar is ongoing, and coffee from our third Renegade origin, while delayed by a revolution, is finally on its way. But until it has reached Estonia, nothing is sure.

That is the reality of our Renegade origins: we start where others stop. While we wait, we are exploring other regions to keep our roasting skills sharp and our customers’ cups filled.

This month, one coffee adventure turned into two. Our main offer comes from Karnataka, India—an origin often hidden in blends rather than explored on its own. We also have a small batch of beans from Ngila Estate in Karatu, Tanzania, available in very limited quantities.
